I was watching an athlete compete in hurdles. After the race, someone asked her how she was feeling. Her answer was simple: “I’m tired.” Yet, despite being tired, she still showed up. She still competed. She still gave everything she had.
As I listened to her, tears began to fall because it reminded me of my own motto: Show up. Be excellent.
Even when I am tired, I will still show up. Even when I do not feel like it, I will still give my best. Excellence is not about being perfect; it is about honoring God with what He has placed in my hands.
Whatever I do, I want to do it well with purpose, discipline, and faith. Excellence is not about applause or recognition. It is about giving God my very best with whatever assignment He has given me.
I am not just working for people. I am working for God. So I will continue to show up, serve with purpose, and strive for excellence in all that I do.
Brothers and sisters what’s your motto?
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Colossians 3:23 NIV
