I have often wondered if relationships last longer when the man loves the women more than the woman loves the man. I have been told that women who treat their men like crap, are the women that seem to have forever relationships. I am not too sure which way is better. As for me, I tend to give 100% of myself in a relationship. I try to build my man up and help him to be the best that he can be, but in turn, I expect the same consideration. Has this always worked for me, no! but, I believe that when the right man finds me, it will.
Sistah to Sistah, what do you think, should we give less of ourselves in a relationship?
He who finds a women finds a good thing (Proverbs 18:22).

This is on point! I noticed that the men that need building up are usually torn down. Could it be that we want to make them what they are not, want them in our image. We love the package (outer shell), and would like to improve the interior (mind, and spirit). God never makes a mistake when it comes to relationships. It’s in the waiting we have our issues. Sometimes God sends Mr. Right and we think he is Mr. Wrong. Hummmmm. something to consider. Taking the time to relax and indulge in you, allowing God to do a work in you just may be the key to opening the door for the husband that you need.

I so agree with you, “keeping your eyes on God and He will give you the desires of your life”.
However, I find that sometimes the waiting on God is the problem for some of us.
So what are a few things that we can do while we wait on God?
There is really no one thing, but a few suggestions are, keep yourself occupied.
~Read Gods Words in the bible.
~Spend time working on yourself
~Pray without ceasing
~Focus on the things that you are passionate about.
~Talking with your sister friends
~Traveling
~Listen to Joel Osteen on XM or the pastor that interest you.
~Gardening, spending time with family, grandchildren/children
~Blogging
Most importantly, focusing on getting to that place in your life where your inner spirit and you are content with just you.

Kim, you are so right on point. However I found that in most cases when we build up a man he usually will not reciprocate. Putting your all and all in the relationship only to find that you wasted time, energy, and in some cases hard earned money. The key point to what you said was wait on GOD! When God is first you won’t have to worry about building him because it would be a together effort. The two will become one flesh and build on the unity. Keep your eyes on God and he will give you the desires of your heart.
