I’ve been thinking about soul-ties lately. A lot of people think that soul ties can only be created with a man and a woman through intercourse, but I think they can be created with any relationship. I was looking this up on the internet and found an article that I thought was interesting about breaking them. It said, “You can only break a soul tie if you’re aware of it first. It goes on to say, even if you want to move on from your ex or whatever it is, sometimes your heart will hang onto the broken relationship. And that you should understand that only YOU can break the soul tie, and that you must fully commit to doing so—even though it may be painful.”

Well, for me, I think that you have to have discipline and call on God to help you get through it and past it, too. When I was in that particular season of my life, it was rough! Whew!!! Let me tell you! I had to block them, I had to pray, call on Jesus and then call on Jesus some more. But what I learned mostly through that experience was that, Satan the liar, was behind it all. He wanted me to continue in that toxic relationship so that I wouldn’t be able to reach my full potential. He wanted me broken and destroyed.

The thing is Saints, whether the soul-tie be emotional, spiritual, social or physical we must guard our hearts. The Bible tells us, “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬‬).

Charles Stanley breaks down the Scripture this way, “ God tells us not to be bound to unbelievers because of their influences on our lives. Did He say we should not love the lost? No. Did He tell us to treat them unkindly? No. Rather, He says, we must be careful how we live. If the enemy gains a foothold in our lives by tempting us to compromise our faith and demonstration of God’s love and forgiveness, he will make significant strides toward undermining our relationship with the Lord and our testimony for Him.

Brothers and Sisters if you find yourself in a soul-tie situation, ask God to help you get out of it. Pray for strength, courage, discipline and repent. Don’t go back, it’s a trick of the enemy. You have to believe that tomorrow will be different and you will be okay. I love you! You got this!
