It’s been five long months since I have been struggling with cancer, doctor visits, pain and a lot of probing in areas I don’t care to mention.

I find that if I hadn’t had a relationship with God I would not have been able to handle all of this. One of the things I have learned about cancer is you have to put your mind in a space that says “let’s do this!” You have to have the mindset that whatever you need to do to heal and to live, just do it. You cannot let any negative energy be around you.

When the doctor told me I would need radiation therapy I definitely had to put my mind in a positive space, I simply did not want to do it. I thought to myself, shoot! wasn’t surgery enough!

In any event, it’s all behind me now. I can start looking ahead and healing.

I did that!
